WARNING

To prevent damage to the actuator DO NOT PRESS on actuator when installing the spindle to the impeller

Installing The Spindle Into The Impeller

Press the front end of autochuck HPD518 through the reverse side of the impeller HPD319 with TGT292. DO NOT PRESS ON THE ACTUATOR SIDE OF THE AUTOCK - IT WILL BREAK.

Measure Distance Setting

The correct distance from the from of the autochuck to the begining of the impelller is 0.178 in (4.521 mm) +/- 0.001 (0.025 mm)

Install Bearings On Sub-assembly

1. Install the back bearing first. DO NOT PRESS ON THE ACTUATOR SIDE OF THE AUTOCK - IT WILL BREAK.
2. Install the front bearing. Apply slight pressure on actuator to seat the front bearing. You need very little force to seat the front bearing.

Confirm Actuator Is Not Damaged

Test that the actuator is holding the bur correctly before running the handpiece.
